Orange County Surf Forecast - for Thursday - 2/11/2010

Fading WNW-NW swell will still put a few rideable waves into the well exposed spots on Thursday...it won’t be all that great, and we may have to wait out the morning tide, but there will be a few lines rolling through. Look for the average WNW facing spots to see surf in the knee-waist high range…the better WNW/SW combo spots (since there is a little SW energy out there) will be more consistently in the waist-waist high+ range. The top NW breaks, mostly through North County will have some chest-shoulder high sets on the lower tides.

Winds look good…mostly light and variable to light-offshore conditions early and then just variable winds on tap for the afternoon. If the winds can stay below 10 knots for most of the day there is a shot at some clean-up near sundown.
