Orange County Surf Forecast - for Friday - 2/12/2010

New W-NW swell and a new background SW swell will be filling in on Friday…but don’t expect a ton of new surf through the morning. Most of the average breaks will be in the knee-waist high+ range for the morning…but a few of the South County standouts and the really good combo-swell sandbars at a few North County beaches will have some inconsistent chest high+ sets. As the tide drops and the swell fills in we can expect average spots to push up into the shoulder high range while the standout NW facing spots see some shoulder-head high+ sets.
Winds look good…mostly light and variable early and then just variable winds around 10-15 knots on tap for the afternoon.
