Orange County Surf Forecast - for Thursday - 2/4/2010

Fun but fading surf on tap for the exposed areas of Orange County on Thursday. Our WNW-NW swell (280-300) will be backing off but we will continue to see plenty of rideable energy showing through the morning. Average WNW spots will be in the waist-chest high range with some shoulder high sets. Standout North County NW breaks will be more in the chest-shoulder high range with some less consistent head high sets. Expect to see smaller and less consistent surf as the swell mix fades through the afternoon.

Winds look good with mostly light and variable to light offshore flow early on. W winds 10-15 knots will build onshore in the afternoon.
