Orange County Surf Forecast - for Monday - 2/1/2010

The high tide slowdown hits again in the morning…with a small really early morning window opening up as the peak if the tide shifts back to 10am. The WNW-NW swell will be on the way down but the small S-SSW pulse will continue to sort of limp along in the background. Expect fairly small surf, for most areas (but not all) through the high tide peak, and then as the tide drops we will have some knee-waist high surf at the average spots and some chest-shoulder high+ surf showing at the top NW breaks and excellent combo spots.

Winds will be light ESE through the morning, and then light W around 10 knots for the afternoon…the bump doesn’t look too bad through the afternoon so we might see some cleanup through sundown if the wind behaves.
