Orange County Surf Forecast - For Thursday - 1/07/10

Mostly weak lines on tap for OC Thursday morning. Look for ankle-knee high surf at most breaks and a few waist –waist high+ sets at the best WNW standouts and excellent combo spots.

The swell does eventually filter in (after passing through about a million islands, seas of sharks with laserbeams on theirs heads and flaming ring of fire somewhere out there as well, which means it isn’t going to be all “that” when it first starts coming in. Look for the winter spots to start to see some more consistent waist-chest high waves with a few of the standouts seeing some chest-shoulder high sets.

Winds look good…mostly light offshore for the morning and just a light/variable onshore pushing through in the afternoon. Good chance for those winds to lay down as the sun sets.
