Orange County Surf Forecast - For Tuesday - 1/05/10

If you jumped straight into this page make sure to read the full Socal Forecast for more of a broad-scale look at our current swell/conditions, as well as the long-range forecasts. (www.socalsurf.com)

Orange County is going to be a bit slow on Tuesday morning…the new swell won’t have filtered much energy down the coast early in the day so we will be working off a lot of Monday’s leftovers which were on the meager side. Average spots will start off in the knee to occasional waist high range, with soft shape, breaking close to shore, where is my pillow? Things do improve through the afternoon as the new swell fills in a bit more but we may have more issues with the tide and the afternoon winds to count on a decent afternoon session. I think your best bet is to give the cams a check a couple of times during the day, particularly as the tide starts to drop later in the day and see if the winds will hold down a bit more for us.

Here are the tides…
