Orange County Surf Forecast - for Thursday - 3/11/2010

Exposed OC breaks will see a small swell combo made up of dropping NW windswell, some background WNW-NW energy (285-300) and some inconsistent S-SW swell (190-210).

Most spots will be in the knee-waist high range off of this mix…but a few of the better NW facing breaks will have some waist-chest high sets showing after the tide drops. The standout NW facing breaks will have some almost shoulder high+ surf sneaking in at times. The best S facing spots will average around knee-waist high but there will be some inconsistent chest high sets sneaking into those breaks as well.

Look for NE winds around 10 knots for the morning with the potential for some 10-15 knot gusts near the wind-prone passes and canyons. Those winds shift to the NW around 10-15 knots for the afternoon.
