Orange County Surf Forecast - for Friday - 3/12/2010

Just some NW windswell leftovers, background WNW-NW swell, and some inconsistent S-SW swell, on tap for Friday. Look for nearly flat conditions for the morning as we shuffle through the high AM tide.

Once the tide drops most spots will be in the knee high range off of this mix…but a few of the better NW facing breaks will have some waist-chest high sets. The best S facing spots will average around knee-waist high but there will be some inconsistent chest high sets sneaking into those breaks as well.

Look for NE winds around 5-10 knots for the morning with the potential for some 10-15 knot gusts near the wind-prone passes and canyons. Those winds shift to the NW around 10-15 knots for the afternoon.
