Orange County Surf Forecast - for Friday - 3/19/2010

The WNW-NW energy backs down on Friday but the S-SW swell holds steady…and even turns a touch more southerly which means more spots will be able to pull in some of the energy.

Look for the average spots to see surf in the knee-waist high+ range. Standout WNW/S-SW combo spots will be more in the waist-chest high range with a few bigger shoulder high+ sets sneaking into the best NW and SW spots on both ends of the county.

Look for mostly light and variable winds in the morning with some pockets of light offshore winds here and there. Look for variable onshore winds around 10-12 knots for the afternoon.
